Bathrooms & Tiling
Full bathroom renovations are our specialty — from quick refreshes to gut-and-rebuild jobs. New vanities, custom tile showers, plumbing fixture replacements, freestanding tubs, full layout changes. Tile work is done in-house: floor tile, shower walls, accent stripes, backsplashes, hex, and large-format installs.
The work behind the tile matters more than the tile itself. Tile and grout aren't waterproof on their own — water always gets through to whatever's behind it. If that's drywall, you have a few good years before rot, mould, and tile failure. Showers get DensShield or equivalent tile backer with an integrated moisture barrier. Shower pans and curbs get a proper waterproofing membrane. Bathroom floors get cement board or an uncoupling membrane over a flat, level subfloor.

What separates a slab that lasts from a slab that cracks isn't the concrete — it's the base under it. Proper prep means digging past topsoil, laying gravel in compacted lifts with a plate tamper between each one, and pitching the surface so water sheets off instead of ponding. This is Ontario. Freeze-thaw will find every shortcut, and the slab pays for it in five years instead of twenty-five. Control joints get cut at the right spacing to avoid unwanted cracks.
